Hiver Updates: Power-Packed Enhancements on Mobile and More!
Table of contents
We constantly strive to add value for our customers and expand what they can achieve on Hiver. Over the past few months, we have released significant improvements on the Hiver mobile app to take it to the next level. What started as a minimal app to let you view and reply to your crucial emails on-the-go, has now grown a lot. And a large part of the credit goes to the voice of our customers and the feedback we’ve received. 🚀
Additionally, we’ve enhanced Hiver filters to help you locate conversations with more ease.
And that’s not all, there are some really exciting things brewing under the hood. Last quarter, we built the foundation for some big bang features coming soon! 😎(Wait for the announcements on this :))
Until then, here are the highlights-
- Search for conversations on mobile
- Forward conversations in a jiffy when you’re on-the-move
- Share context of a conversation using quoted text from mobile
- Search for recipients while composing emails on mobile
- Use negations in Hiver filters
1. Search for conversations on mobile
You can now quickly locate conversations of interest across your shared mailboxes. No more scrolling through various Views to find a conversation. Simply type a keyword which is present either in the subject or the body of the conversation that you’re looking for and voila!
If you are unsure which shared mailbox the conversation belongs to, switch to ‘All mailboxes’ to get matching conversations from all your shared mailboxes.
2. Forward conversations in a jiffy when you’re on-the-move
Hiver lets you collaborate with your team internally on Notes without the need to use Forwards or CCs. However, we understand that there might be a need to have a word with someone outside your shared mailbox. For such instances, you can now easily forward conversations from the Hiver mobile app to anyone.
3. Share context of a conversation using quoted text from mobile
Quoted text in an email provides additional context by including a summary of previously exchanged emails in the conversation.
Similar to the web experience, you can now view quoted text against each email on the mobile app as well. Hiver will automatically insert the quoted text when you reply or forward any conversation from mobile. This will help the recipients quickly gather the prior context on that conversation. However, you can include or exclude quoted text in email replies/forwards as per the need.
4. Search for recipients while composing emails on mobile
Typing out the complete email address every time you’re writing an email can be hard. Well, no more!
Hiver mobile app now allows you to search for the recipient’s email address from your Google contacts while writing an email. In the To/Cc/Bcc field, just type a few characters of the name or email address of the intended recipient and pick the relevant one from the suggestions. This works for both composing and replying/forwarding an email.
5. Use negations in Hiver filters
We’ve released a nifty improvement to help you filter your conversations with more ease.
Until now, you could filter conversations having a certain tag/assignee. With this enhancement, you can use the “Assignee is not” and “Tags do not contain” filters to explicitly exclude conversations having tags/assignees not relevant to you. These filter combinations can be saved as custom views for later use as well.
That’s all for now, folks. Stay tuned for more updates!
